EMAS was founded in 1988 to enable people who were, or had been, students of the University of London Centre for Extra-Mural Studies (now the Faculty of Continuing Education) to extend their interest in archaeology through an annual programme of lectures and field trips.

Each year EMAS offers a wide range of lectures, one-day field trips and an extended field trip over the Easter period. Details of this year’s programme can be found here.
